Peace and 安全 in the 21st Century

The 博拉基金会 and Committee are proud to announce the 2024 annual 博拉研讨会. This year’s symposium will take place September 16-18 on the University of 爱达荷州's campus in 莫斯科, 爱达荷州, as well as on Zoom. The 博拉基金会 focuses on the causes of war and the conditions for peace. This annual symposium brings together world leaders, 外交官, scholars and activists to discuss current problems facing our global community and to offer solutions.

The symposium honors the legacy of former U.S. Senator from 爱达荷州 William Edgar Borah (1864-1940) by considering the causes of war and the conditions necessary for peace in an international context. Themes and speakers for the annual events are selected by the faculty-student 博拉基金会 committee, with administrative and fiscal support provided by the staff of the 马丁研究所. Each symposium adopts an interdisciplinary, non-partisan focus in an effort to reach as many members of the university and community as possible.

The William Edgar Borah Outlawry of War Foundation, a separately endowed entity at the University of 爱达荷州, was established by the State Board of Education using funds donated by Salmon O. 莱文森，1929年.
